Cryptomeria was imported from Japan in the 19th century during a prosperous time for the orange industry in the archipelago - where it was necessary to produce boxes of oranges for export to other European countries. In memory of the "Orange Cycle" and in search of the material's origin, LARANJA PENDULAR brings an unusual shape to an orange holder. The wicker handle alludes to its transportation and exportation.
