MATERIA is a conversation around an ancient weaving technique that produces fiber-based surfaces facilitated by a loom.
A loom is a system of weights, vertical and horizontal axes. It creates woven artifacts that reflect the author and the environment - therefore a collector of data and an important historical archive.
The installation at Homo Faber was divided in three sections. The first where we showcased the fiber we work with, highlighting its most prevailing characteristics. The central section focused on an interpreted loom, where we weaved on site surfaces. The final section houses the yet assigned function surfaces, exhibited in different shapes to spark possible uses with the imagination of the visitors.
Materials:
Metal, Acacia wood, Bulrush, Cotton Ropes, Stones
